DORADOS MAKE ROSTER MOVES, NOW READY TO FIGHT THE LAW

SEVERAL ROSTER MOVES MADE AS TRAINING CAMP COMES TO A CLOSE

HIDALGO, TX: March 30, 2004 – The Rio Grande Valley Dorados of arenafootball2 (af2) adjusted their roster Monday to comply with the af2's mandated 21-man active roster and are now set to kickoff their inaugural season Saturday night at the Dodge Arena against the Laredo Law.

The Dorados placed Anthony Terrell (WR/DB), Ron Pierce (OL/DL) and Cedric Stewart (WR/DB) on the Long-term (month) IR list, Marcus Bradley (DS), Mike Clay (OL/DL) and Brent McDonald (FB/LB) on the Short-term (2 week) IR list, and placed Kevin de los Santos (OL/DL), Robert Morris (QB), and Jamison Holmes (FB/LB) on reassignment. Head Coach Gary Gussman also placed Gary Briggs (OS) and Germont Jackson (WR/DB) on the "refused to report" list and placed Kendall Williams on the team's suspended list.

Gussman and his troops will finally be able to move indoors this week into the Dodge Arena, where the team has yet to practice. The Dorados held a majority of their training camp workouts at Hidalgo High School before traveling to Laredo over the weekend to gain some arena experience. The squad will hit the Dodge Arena turf today (Tuesday) at 6 PM and practice for an hour and a half. The times remain the same for workouts on Wednesday and Thursday.

As Coach Gussman and his coaching staff make the proper steps to build a winning team, he will be working hard to finalize the squad's depth chart, because this Saturday night's game is not against a normal opponent. It is against the Laredo Law, who become instant rivals. Both teams are playing in their first ever game in franchise's history and would love to start off their organization's history with a victory. Plus, the contest is a divisional match-up. Both teams represent the Southwest Division and join Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Wichita in the Southwest.

Saturday night's 7:30 PM kickoff will be televised locally on XERV Channel 9 (Cable 19) with Chris Due calling the play-by-play action, Hidalgo High School Head Varsity Football Coach Al Guerra providing color analysis and Jeffrey Saocedo contributing sideline information. Fans are also encouraged to tune in the game on ESPN Radio 1240 AM or online at www.doradosfootball.com , as Josh Bogorad will have the call.

Individual and season tickets are currently on sale and may be purchased by stopping by the Dodge Arena offices (2600 N. 10th St. in Hidalgo, Tx) or contacting them by phone at 956-843-7825. The Dorados kick-off their inaugural campaign April 3rd against the Laredo Law. Additional ticket information and corporate opportunities are available by contacting the Dorados offices at 956-843-7825 or visit the Dorados online at www.doradosfootball.com.
