Stealth announce opening roster

Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Stealth made their final cuts yesterday as they ready themselves for the 2004 season. The Stealth had to cut down to a 21-man roster for opening night. The stealth will take on the Peoria Pirates on Saturday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the Kansas Coliseum.

The Stealth return only eight players from last seasons 8-8-1 team. Among the returnees are: offensive specialist Michael Dritlein (will be on short-term injured reserve the first two games), fullback/linebacker Jeff Macrea, defensive specialist Ty Ardoin, offensive/defensive lineman Cliff Holloman, wide receiver/defensive back Brian Livingston, fullback/linebacker Daren Williams, offensive/defensive lineman Markevius Woods, and offensive/defensive lineman Dustin Fish.

The Stealth roster includes 14 players who have played in arenafootball2 before this season. The most notable of these players is quarterback Aaron Sparrow. Sparrow has thrown for 7,006 yards in his af2 career and was named the 2000 af2 Offensive Player of the Year, as well as All-af2 quarterback.

STEALTH NOTES: Tickets are still on sale by calling the Stealth ticket office at 316.755.3307...The Stealth will also host their annual media and sponsor luncheon tomorrow at Outback Steakhouse-East (2020 North Rock Road) beginning at Noon...Fans, can also catch this weeks game on the radio on 96.3 KRZZ, the radio home of the Wichita Stealth.
