Rio Grande Valley Dorados News Release
Hidalgo, Texas --- The Rio Grande Valley Dorados, arenafootball2's defending Southwest Division champions, will still be busy this weekend despite having time off from the playing field due their schedule's first bye week of the 16game season.
The team will host a season ticket holder party this Saturday from 10 a.m. - noon at the Echo Hotel in Edinburg. Season ticket holders will be able to pick up their tickets as well as meet players, coaches and staff.
On Sunday, the team hosts the 3rd Annual Dorados Charity Golf Tournament at Los Lagos in Edinburg. The golf tournament, a three-man scramble that has a shotgun start of 1 p.m., will raise money for the Dorados Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit community outreach program which, among other things, helps underprivileged children attend Dorados games at Dodge Arena.
The BMP Radio/KURV 710 Blood Drive, to benefit United Blood Services, runs from Thursday, April 3, to Wednesday, April 9, at various locations throughout the greater McAllen area. Those donating blood will be eligible to receive free Dorados tickets and other prizes as well as meet some of their favorite Dorados players and dance team members.
The Dorados return to on-field competition on Saturday, April 12, at Corpus Christi.
