Portland Winterhawks News Release
The first round of the 2010 National Hockey League Entry Draft will take place next Friday and the Portland Winterhawks are inviting fans to join them at a draft party to see where the team's players get selected.
The Winterhawks will be hosting a draft party at the Buffalo Wild Wings located at 327 SW Morrison St. in downtown Portland. The festivities will begin at 3 p.m., with the draft telecast beginning at 4 p.m. The event will feature prizes, jersey auctions and much more. The event will include appearances by long-time play-by-play announcer Dean "Scooter" Vrooman, current radio play-by-play announcer Andy Kemper, radio analyst Todd Vrooman and former public address announcer Dan Folwick.
Buffalo Wild Wings will have a number of food and drink specials for Winterhawks fans during the event, including appetizers such as mozzarella sticks, chips & salsa, onion rings, fries and other items at $3 apiece.
In the final NHL Central Scouting draft rankings, the Winterhawks had six players listed, including Ryan Johansen 10th and Nino Niederreiter 12th among North American skaters.
