Kinston, NC-The Kinston Indians return home from their longest road trip of the season for a seven game homestand beginning on Monday at Historic Grainger Stadium. On Saturday July 24, the first 1,000 fans will receive a Lonnie Chisenhall Bobblehead. Chisenhall, an Eastern North Carolina native, starred as a third baseman for the K-Tribe in 2009 and currently plays for Cleveland's Double-A affiliate the Akron Aeros.
The homestand starts on Monday with a three-game series against Carolina League Southern Division First Half Champions, the Winston-Salem Dash. Monday is Buck Night at the ballpark with dollar hot dogs, fries, beers and sodas! Tuesday is Two Dollar Tuesday, including two dollar reserved seat tickets, burgers, beers and sodas. The series finale on Wednesday will be a Daycare Day Game with a special 11 am start.
The Wilmington Blue Rocks come to town for a four game series starting on Thursday night. It will be Thirsty Thursday with 12 ounce beers and sodas for just one dollar! Friday night will include the Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest outside the front gate starting at 4 pm. The free Fun Fest will feature a baseball museum, video game arcade, batting and pitching cages and souvenir baseball cards. There will also be a fireworks extravaganza following Friday night's game.
The Lonnie Chisenhall Bobblehead giveaway will be on Saturday night. The homestand concludes on Sunday with a 2 pm game and it will be Pepsi Family Fun Day and WITN-TV Christmas in July! Kids ten and under will eat for free on Sunday, and there will be a pregame autograph session and postgame kids run the bases. Santa will make a summer appearance at Grainger Stadium and kids are invited to join him for a Pizza Picnic for only $10. Please call the Kinston Indians offices to reserve a spot.
