
'Dogs Host Wolves, Comets this Week

The Hamilton Bulldogs took five of a possible six points in three games against division rivals last week to maintain position in the American Hockey League's Western Conference playoff race. Currently sitting in a three-way tie for seventh place in the conference with the Chicago Wolves and Milwaukee Admirals, the 'Dogs head into two home games this week looking to improve their standing in the top eight.
On Thursday, April 2, the Bulldogs will host the Wolves (American Hockey League affiliate of the St. Louis Blues) at FirstOntario Centre at 7:30 p.m. in the second and final matchup between the two clubs this season. The Wolves took the first game of the season 3-2 in overtime on Jan. 2.
On Saturday, April 4, the 'Dogs will be visited by the Utica Comets (AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks) at FirstOntario Centre at 7 p.m. in the seventh of eight games between the teams this season. So far in 2014-15, Hamilton has a record of 3-3-0-0 against Utica.

Hamilton Bulldogs owner Michael Andlauer announced on Thursday, March 12 the official sale of the American Hockey League franchise to the National Hockey League's Montreal Canadiens which will take place at the conclusion of the 2014-15 AHL season. Andlauer also announced the purchase of the Ontario Hockey League's Belleville Bulls who will be relocated to Hamilton and renamed the Bulldogs for the start of the 2015-16 season.
