American Hockey League Announces Suspensions

March 31, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

- San Antonio Rampage defenseman Shane O'Brien has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game at Iowa on Mar. 28.

O'Brien was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

O'Brien will miss San Antonio's games Thursday (Apr. 2) and Saturday (Apr. 5) vs. Adirondack, and Apr. 7 at Oklahoma City.

- Lehigh Valley Phantoms left wing Jay Rosehill has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of his actions in a game vs. Manchester on Mar. 29.

Rosehill was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

Rosehill will miss Lehigh Valley's games Wednesday (Apr. 1) at Norfolk, Friday (Apr. 3) at Binghamton and Saturday (Apr. 4) at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

- Norfolk Admirals left wing John Kurtz has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of an interference incident in a game vs. Albany on Mar. 28.

Kurtz was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

Kurtz will miss Norfolk's game Wednesday (Apr. 1) vs. Lehigh Valley.

- Iowa Wild left wing Brett Bulmer has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of a match penalty for slashing, assessed in a game vs. San Antonio on Mar. 28.

Bulmer missed Iowa's game Sunday (Mar. 29) at Chicago and is now eligible to return to the lineup.
