Dodgers: Kershaw Will Not Make Scheduled Start in Omaha Saturday

June 22, 2018 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Omaha Storm Chasers News Release

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced on Friday that three-time Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw will not make his scheduled start in Omaha this weekend as part of a Major League Rehab Assignment. Earlier in the week, the Dodgers organization had announced he was expected to start against the Storm Chasers at Werner Park on Saturday evening.

Omaha last season faced Kershaw in Oklahoma City as part of his Major League Rehab Assignment, with outfielder Jorge Soler homering as part of a 4-0 victory over the Dodgers at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The Storm Chasers will face Oklahoma City at Werner Park on Saturday night, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm CT. The first 2,000 fans to enter Werner Park when gates open at 6:00pm CT will receive a late 1990's Replica of Rosenblatt Stadium thanks to Fairfield Inn & Suites Papillion. Fans can also enjoy drink specials, including 90-cent Bud Ice beer, along with live music from Johnny Knucklehead at the Bud Light Downdraught Bar in left field from 6:00-7:00pm CT.

Tickets are still available for that game and all remaining Storm Chasers home dates in 2018, and may be purchased at www.omahastormchasers.com/tickets as well as by calling the Werner Park Ticket Office at (402) 738-5100.
