Iowa Cubs News Release

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - Andrew Toles punched a two-run home run in the 11th inning to give the Oklahoma City Dodgers (64-57) a 6-4 walk-off win over the Iowa Cubs (45-77), Friday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

A 3-3 tie forced the game to extras and after a scoreless 10th, both teams got moving in the 11th. Mike Freeman scored on a wild pitch to give the I-Cubs the temporary lead. Casey Coleman (L, 2-4) had the Dodgers down to their final strike, before Tim Locastro snuck an RBI single through the left side of the diamond to knot the game once again. Coleman's next pitch was skied over the left field wall to hand the Dodgers the victory.

Freeman, activated off the disabled list today after missing nearly two months, paced Iowa's offense with a 2-for-5 game, one double and three runs scored. Ryan Court and Taylor Davis had identical lines, both reaching twice via a double and a walk, while collecting one RBI.

Iowa was the first to score in the game, getting a two-out single from newly acquired Terrance Gore and an RBI double from Chris Coghlan in the third.

On the hill Duane Underwood Jr. held the Dodgers without a hit through three and nearly had a perfect game started if not for a hit batter in the first. Oklahoma City foiled his efforts in the fifth with a three-run inning that captured the lead.

The I-Cubs battled in the sixth to cut the deficit to one. Doubles from Freeman and Davis pushed in the run. Two frames later, Freeman sparked another rally with a one-out single. He sped first to home on a Court double to lock the game at 3-3 and eventually force extras.

Iowa and Oklahoma City clash again tomorrow at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark for a 7:05 p.m. CT first pitch. Follow the action on AM 940 or www.iowacubs.com.
