The Reno Aces rallied for three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning for a come from behind 7-5 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Thursday night.

The Bees had scored three runs in the top of the inning on a two run double by Bo Way and a sacrifice fly by Alberto Triunfel to take a 5-4 lead, but Kevin Cron, the younger brother of former Ute, Bee and Angels C.J. Cron, led off the bottom of the eighth with his 21st home run off of Junichi Tazawa to tie the game. Rey Fuentes followed with a single and with one out, Salt Lake shortstop Luis Rengifo booted a ground ball by Kristopher Negron for a two base error and former Bee Alberto Rosario delivered a two run single to put Reno ahead to stay.

Tazawa (0-1) was charged with the loss, as he went just one-third of an inning and allowed three runs, two earned, on three hits with one strikeout and no walks. Jeremy Rhoades worked two scoreless innings and has not given up a run in his thirteen appearances since the All Star Break. Starter Griffin Canning tossed five innings and gave up four runs on eight hits with a Triple-A high equaling seven strikeouts. Jose Rojas and Joe Hudson each had two hits to lead the Bees, as they fall five and one-half games behind first place El Paso in the Pacific Southern Division with seventeen games left to play.
