FOND DU LAC, WI - In front of a record crowd of 1,934 at Herr-Baker Field the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (38-28) took down the Lakeshore Chinooks (29-38) 14-8 for their first ever playoff berth.

Fond du Lac started the ball game off in a hurry scoring five runs in the 1st and 2nd leading the Chinooks 10-2 after 2 innings. The first frame was highlighted by Zac Taylor's (Illinois) RBI double, Alex Erro's (Northwestern)RBI single, and a two out RBI single from Jordan Prendiz (UCLA).

The second five run inning was able to be strung together after back to back walks then three hits. Zac Taylor (Illinois)with a base hit and then Alex Erro (Northwestern)registering his third RBI on the night with a single and Andrew Bullock (Western Carolina)with an RBI single. The final two runs of the inning would be sent in on ground outs giving Fondy a 10-2 lead.

Zac Taylor (Illinois) picked up his third hit of the night which would be a rocket launched out of the ballpark on a two run shot giving the Spiders a 12-2 lead.

The Dock Spiders final two runs of the game would be scored on a walk and a sac fly in the 4th.

Alex Erro (Northwestern)3 for 4, 2 runs, and 3 RBI.

Andrew Bullock (Western Carolina) 3 for 5, 2 runs, and 1 RBI.
