Dock Spiders Add Three More Pitchers to 2019 Roster

FOND DU LAC, WI - The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders have added three more pitchers to the 2019 squad including one player returning from last year's championship team. Nico Tellache (Oregon), Aaron Funk (Arkansas - Little Rock), and Jonathan Cowles (University of Colorado at Colorado Springs) will all be joining the Dock Spiders pitching staff this summer.

Tellache, a 6'0" left handed junior pitcher at the University of Oregon is a familiar face to Dock Spider fans. Last season, he appeared in 15 games in Fond du Lac, pitching in 24 innings and collecting 22 strikeouts. His ERA was 3.75. The Canby, Oregon native is currently 4-1 overall in 19 appearances for the Ducks.

Funk, is a 6'5" right-handed sophomore pitcher at Arkansas Little Rock. Coming out of high school he was a 2017 Louisville Slugger All-American Honorable Mention and a Second Team All-State selection. The Lawrence, Kansas native has appeared in nine games for the Trojans including four starts.

Cowles, a 6'1" right-handed sophomore pitcher at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs was the 2018 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Freshman Pitcher of the Year. This season he has started 11 games for the Mountain Lions. He has pitched 67.1 innings and is 4-7 overall with 48 strikeouts. He is originally from Greeley, Colorado.

The Dock Spiders will play their first home game this season on Saturday, June 1 against the Lakeshore Chinooks at 6:35pm. Individual Game Tickets for 2019 will be available on Saturday, May 4. Season ticket packages and group outings of 20 or more for the 2019 season are on sale now and may be purchased from the Dock Spiders ticket office.
