Dobes, Martino Named to All-USHL Second Team

RALSTON, NE - The United States Hockey League has announced the 2020-21 All-USHL Teams today. Two Lancers were named to the All-USHL Second Team; Jakub Dobes, and Ayrton Martino.

The backstop for the Lancers this season, Dobes appeared in 47 games. In his second USHL season, Dobes ended the year with a 2.48 GAA and a .908 SV%. The Ostrava Czech Republic native was ranked 4th among all goaltenders, and 1st in minutes played in the USHL this season. Dobes was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2020 NHL Draft, after being selected in the 5th round, pick 136 overall. Dobes will be attending The Ohio State University this fall.

Ayrton Martino, who has been marked as a top prospect for the upcoming 2021 NHL Draft, appeared on the ice nearing the midway mark of the season. In just 38 regular-season games, Martino quickly became an offensive weapon for the Lancers netting 18 goals and picking up 38 assists for a total of 56 points. With his 56 points this year, Martino was the 8th top scorer and 5th in assists in the USHL. The Toronto, ON native, is committed to Clarkson University.

All-USHL Third Team

Goaltender Brennan Boynton

Defensemen: Henry Thrun & Alex Gagne

Forward: Robert Cronin, Cameron Berg, Jake Schmaltz
