SAN ANGELO – The San Angelo Saints today are excited to announce that the team has signed a radio contract with Magic 98 (98.7 KELI-FM) to broadcast the Saints' road games for the 2003-2004 season. Also today, the team announced that an agreement has been signed with internet audio service Sportsjuice.com to broadcast the Saints' road games uninterrupted on the internet this season.

"Magic 98 has the clearest signal and largest coverage area of any local station," said PR Director Tom Nurre. "We can now offer our fans the best possible radio broadcasts and quality internet coverage of our road games."

Magic 98 is part of the KGKL family of radio stations. Local professional hockey returns to KGKL for the first time since the team went to the WPHL finals in 1998-99.

"We're delighted to work with a great organization like the Saints and provide them a clear radio signal from interstate to interstate," said Magic 98 GM Perry Curnutt. "It provides the Saints with a regional outlet in which to promote their product while allowing us to promote San Angelo and Magic 98. We are excited and hope to translate that excitement on the air."

Sportsjuice.com is a highly utilized internet audio streaming service that is also used for game broadcasts by several teams in the AHL, various teams in the CHL, ECHL, UHL, AHL, minor league baseball and college football and basketball.

Saints Director of PR and Broadcasting, Tom Nurre, will once again handle play-by-play duties for the team's road games this season. This is Nurre's 2nd season with the Saints, 3rd in professional hockey and 5th in professional sports. He previously broadcast high school football, basketball, baseball and track, college basketball and San Angelo Colts professional baseball. He is also a former Sports Director at both KGKL radio and KLST-TV in San Angelo.

Saints fans throughout all or parts of 44 West Texas counties will now be able to enjoy Saints radio broadcasts free of static North past Interstate 20 and South past Interstate 10. Internet broadcasts will also be clear and uninterrupted for fans outside the region and players' friends and families as far away as Canada and overseas.

The Saints' 2003-2004 season begins with preseason games Oct. 10th (home) and 11th (away) against Odessa. The team's home opener is Oct. 18th against Rio Grande Valley. Season tickets and multi-game ticket and voucher packs are still available at the Saints office, 3111 Knickerbocker Road, and at the San Angelo Convention Center.
