Dirt Dawgs win with Kurtis White walk off 6-5

Leominster, Mass - It took 12 innings for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs to pull out a victory against the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tides by a score of 6-5. Kurtis White (Franklin Pierce) hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 12th inning to score Evan Brown (Manhattan).

The Dirt Dawgs started off hot with a two run home run by Mike Corin (University of Rhode Island) in the first inning. He would have another two run home run in the seventh. Kyle Brigham (Daniel Webster) hit his first home run of the season in the bottom of fifth inning.

The bullpen for the Dirt Dawgs was effective throughout the game. Ryan Venditti (UMass Amherst), Sean Abbate (Manhattan), Matthew Ferraiolo (University of Rhode Island), and Ryan O'Shea combined to throw for nine innings and only allowing one earned run with six hits and two walks.

The Raging Tide had two home runs hit by Graham McIntire (Marist) and Mekae Hyde (Bates). Hyde's home run in the top of the eighth tied the game at five.

The Dirt Dawgs will travel to Martha's Vineyard on June 13th to take on the Sharks. Connor Smith (The College of New Jersey) is scheduled to pitch for the Dirt Dawgs.
