Amarillo Dillas News Release

AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club announced today they will hold their 2nd Annual Youth Summer Baseball Camp on Monday, July 27 and Tuesday, July 28. The two-day camp is designed to instruct youth between the ages of 7 and 14 on the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching.

Dillas' Field Manager Brady Bogart will be assisted by Dillas' players and coaching staff to teach area youth on the basics of all aspects of the game. Day one of the camp will focus strictly on the art of hitting with day two of the camp to include teaching of the proper mechanics of fielding, pitching, and catching. Dillas pitcher Ralph Roberts and catcher Justin Wenger will lead the pitching and catching sessions respectively, while Dillas favorite Carlos Figueroa will talk hitting with campers.

"This is a great opportunity for our players to make an impact on kids who want to live the dream of playing in the big leagues someday", Dillas Field Manager Brady Bogart said. "To be honest, we have just as much fun being around these kids as they have being on the field with us (Dillas)".

Camper check-in will begin at 8:30am with instruction starting at 9am on both days. Cost for the two-day camp is $40 to attend both sessions and $25 to attend one of the sessions. Campers will receive a coupon for free meal both days, an official camp T-shirt, and a Flex Ticket to attend a Dillas game. Meals are provided courtesy of Chick-fil-a and Sonic Drive-Ins. Campers are required to dress in appropriate baseball attire and bring their own equipment if they are participating in the catching session on Tuesday.

Interested campers can pre-register in-person by visiting the Dillas Front Offices located at 801 South Polk Street or by calling 806-342-0400 to speak with a Dillas representative. On-site registration will be accepted on both days beginning at 8:30am.

Amarillo continues their eight-game home stand tonight as they look to sweep the four-game series from the Broncos. Tonight's game includes free admission for everyone courtesy of the Amarillo Dillas. Tomorrow's game will begin the second leg of the home stand when the Dillas face the Edinburg Roadrunners.
