Dickey-Stephens Park Featured In Annual Calendar

Dickey-Stephens Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas - Capping off a tremendous inaugural season, Dickey-Stephens Park is being featured on the cover of Baseball America's annual calendar. The 2008 Great Parks calendar, sporting a beautiful overhead photo of the new Home of the Travs on its cover, is on sale for $15 at the Travelers Crossing giftshop Shot from a helicopter by A.C. Haralson of the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, the photo shows off the ballpark's setting on the North bank of the Arkansas River with downtown Little Rock as the backdrop.
"Baseball America's Great Parks Calendar showcases the best places to watch baseball," said Sara Hiatt, Baseball America's Director of Production and Design. "We need one photo for the cover to sum up the Americana of going to see a game. This photo of Dickey-Stephens Park does that. The light is nice and warm, the riverscape is inviting and the park is nestled amongst the town's buildings. The shot is a great testament to the dreamy, summertime quality the best ballparks possess."
