Diamond Jaxx make roster moves

Jackson, TN (June 2nd)- The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx have made some roster moves prior to the start of tonight's Southern League game between the Diamond Jaxx and the Tennessee Smokies.

The Diamond Jaxx have placed RHP Rocky Cherry on the seven day DL retroactive to May 31st. Cherry is bothered by an injury to the middle finger of his pitching hand. In seventeen games (all out of the bullpen), Cherry is 2-1 with one save and a 1.61 ERA. RHP Roberto Sotolongo has been brought up from extended spring training to take Cherry's spot.

The Diamond Jaxx have also activated 1B Brian Dopirak from the DL. Dopirak is in tonight's starting line-up, playing first base and batting in the fourth position. Dopirak has appeared in just one game with the Diamond Jaxx, going 1-3 on opening night against Birmingham. To make room on the roster, the Diamond Jaxx have released OF Adam Greenberg. Greenberg appeared in thirty-two games, hitting .179 with no homers and one run batted in.
