
Diablos down Cats in ninth 6-4

El Paso scored twice in the ninth inning as they defeated Fort Worth 6-4 Saturday night in front of 6,102 at LaGrave Field.
The Cats had rallied to tie the game 4-4 in the sixth inning when Jordan Foster's double scored both Kip Harkrider and Carlos Adolfo.
But, the Diablos took the lead in the ninth when Carlos Sepulveda drove home Jorge Alvarez with a run-scoring triple in the ninth. They added an insurance run one batter later as Braulio Castillo singled home Sepulveda making it 6-4.
Castillo homered earlier in the game, a three-run shot, his sixth of the season. Marc Mirizzi homered fo rthe Cats in the ffith, his second of the year.
Dustin Cameron (2-0) earned the win in relief after allowing a run on four hits in three innings of work. Justin Garcia (1-1) permitted two runs in his two innings of work to suffer the loss for the Cats.
El Paso reliever Joslin Ramirez notched his second save of the season after he retired the Cats in order in the ninth inning.
Game 3 of the series is Sunday night at 7.05 p.m. Cory Walters (2-3) pitches for the Cats with Matt Parris (1-1) on the mound for the Diablos.
