
Detroit City Football Club & for Soccer Host Black Star Youth Clinic

Detroit City Football Club (DCFC), For Soccer, and partners will host Black Star in Detroit on July 21-23. The weekend's events will feature the Black Star First-Touch Youth Clinic as well as a Watch Party for the 2023 Women's World Cup at the Detroit City Fieldhouse presented by Ally.
Who: Launched in 2021, Black Star is committed to celebrating the diversity of Black soccer culture, increasing access to the sport, and providing coaching and player development pathways, on and off the field.
What: Ally and DCFC are partnering to put on a watch party for the United States' first match in the 2023 Women's World Cup. This watch party will take place at the Detroit City Fieldhouse at 3401 E Lafayette St, Detroit, MI 48207. This event will follow a Black Star Community Pickup series of matches, free, open pickup games for soccer-obsessed players 18+. Community Pickup serves as a platform for local athletes to display their most creative moves, competing against other teams to be crowned the Community Pickup champion.
Amazon serves as the primary partner for the Black Star First-Touch Youth Clinic. The clinic is for youth ages 5 - 13. Clinic participants will be provided free access to the world's most popular sport with the goal of creating and strengthening a love of the game.
