(North Little Rock, AR) - Arkansas Twisters receiver Chris Denney has earned the Cutters Catch of the Week for his one-handed scoring catch against Amarillo.

The award winning catch occurred with 7:13 left in the second quarter. Twisters quarterback Kyle Rowley zipped a line drive throw towards Denney from the 11 yard line. Denney began the play with his back to the ball. He adjusted to the ball by turning 90 degrees to his left, reached out with his right hand to snag the ball in mid-air with an Amarillo defender on his left shoulder. Denney's left hand never touched the ball and he tucked it with the one hand while falling to the turf in the endzone.

The award is the first for Denney, who finished the game with a game high 126 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Denney was assigned mid-season to the Twisters and has been one of the most valuable players. He's had two 5 touchdown games, and leads the Twisters with 19 receiving touchdowns and 136 yards receiving per game average.

Twisters' players have earned Cutters Catch of the Week two of the last three weeks with Jon Schoonover earning the award the week following Arkansas' win over Bossier-Shreveport.

Arkansas puts its season high three game win streak on the line against Lubbock on Saturday, June 14th at 7pm at Allstate Field at Alltel Arena.

The Cutters Catch of the Week honors the af2 player with the most outstanding catch from the previous week's games.
