Amarillo Venom News Release

AMARILLO, Texas The Amarillo Dusters are set to take on the Rio Grande Valley Dorados this Saturday at the Amarillo Civic Center Arena. Both teams have the same record coming into this game.

"Just like every game, we have to give it everything we have to win," said head coach Chris MacKeown. "We can't afford to make mistakes and we have to get the ball in the endzone."

MacKeown announced the addition of line coach, Nathan DeGasperis to the Dusters coaching staff. Before coming to Amarillo, DeGasperis was a part of the coaching staff for the Columbus Destroyers of the AFL.

"He's been to practice and he seems to be fitting in well," MacKeown said. "I think he can really help us out with our offensive and defensive lines."

The Dorados have faced many of the same opponents as the Dusters. They lost to the Austin Wranglers and the Bossier-Shreveport Battlewings early in the season, and they've also dropped their last few games, one away and one home.

"It really comes down to turnovers," MacKeown said. "We have to hang on to the ball and get in the endzone."

Catch the Dusters in action on Saturday against the Rio Grande Valley Dorados for Father's Day and America's Heroes Night. Tickets start at just $16 and are on sale now. To reserve yours, call the Dusters box office at 806.350.7277, visit www.dustersfootball.com , or stop by any Panhandle Tickets outlet.
