Defensive Tackle Jerome Haywood Returns To Alouettes

Montreal, Jan. 20, 2009 - Montreal Alouettes Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp is pleased to announce that tackle Jerome Haywood has signed a one-year contract plus an option with the team.

Haywood (5'10'', 280 lbs.) is a seven-year CFL veteran who began his career with the Ottawa Renegades in 2002, with whom he played four seasons. He then joined the Alouettes, playing 11 games with the team in 2006. He then moved on to Winnipeg, playing two seasons with the Blue Bombers. Over his seven-year career, he has played 107 games, registering 29 sacks and 223 tackles. He is 30.
