Modesto, CA. - A pair of Modesto Nuts' errors led to their 2-1 loss against the Stockton Ports on Tuesday night at John Thurman Field.
In the sixth, the Ports (58-56; 20-24) had runners at the corners with Devin Burke on the mound in relief for the Nuts (59-54; 26-18). Burke tossed an errant pickoff throw to first which allowed Jacob Nottingham to score.

In the ninth, the Nuts loaded the bases, but Correlle Prime bounced into a game-ending double play against Corey Walter (S, 3/5).
Daniel Mengden (W, 4-3) tossed seven strong innings allowing just three hits while striking out six.
