
Defenseman Proctor Commits to Nebraska Omaha

DES MOINES, IA - Defenseman Kirby Proctor announced his commitment to the University of Nebraska Omaha this morning.
"I'd like to thank all my coaches now and from past years for getting me to this point," Proctor said. "I am extremely proud to be a Maverick!"
The blue liner from Okotoks, AB was selected in the third round of the Phase II USHL Draft this past summer by Des Moines. He has six assists through 16 games this year with the Bucs, including five assists on the power play.
"We're excited for Kirby and for the Maverick program," Head Coach Gene Reilly said. "Nebraska Omaha is getting a quality person and a player who has tremendous upside. He will be a great addition to the Mavericks."
Des Moines has three games this week, beginning in Fargo this Wednesday vs. the Force. The Bucs return home for a pair of games this weekend vs. Lincoln and Sioux City.
Friday night, fans are encouraged to wear black for our "Black Friday" game, as the Bucs will be wearing specialty black uniforms.
Saturday is "Tompkins Night" brought to you by Tompkins Industries. This includes a T-Shirt giveaway for the first 750 fans through the gates.
