
Defenseman Melancon Joins Roadrunners on PTO

Norfolk, VA. - Admirals defenseman TJ Melancon has joined the Tucson Roadrunners on a professional tryout the team announced on Thursday afternoon.
Melancon is fourth on the team in scoring this season with 43 points (15g, 28a). The Oshawa, ON native ranks third among all ECHL defensemen in goals this season (15). He also is currently among the top 20 rookie scorers in the ECHL this season. The call-up is Melancon's third of the season. He has previously appeared in six AHL games (two with Belleville, four with Syracuse). During those six games the defenseman has recorded a plus-two rating, with six shots.
Tucson, AHL affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, is currently in first place in the Pacific Division, and preparing for the teams first appearance in the Calder Cup Playoffs.
Norfolk concludes the season with a home-and-home series against the Reading Royals on Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7.
