Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced Tuesday that defenseman Jeff May has agreed to terms with the team for the 2013-14 season.

May, 26, last played for the Wranglers in 2011-12, scoring seven goals and posting 20 assists in the regular season. The 6-foot-2, 201-pound blueliner added another two goals and five assists in the playoffs on the way to a 2012 Kelly Cup Finals appearance against the Florida Everblades. A native of Richmond, British Columbia, May first laced up for the Wranglers during the 2008-09 season, recording four goals and 10 points between American Hockey League stints with the Norfolk Admirals, Providence Bruins, and San Antonio Rampage.

"I'm very excited to come back to Vegas this season and finish what we started in the 2012 Kelly Cup Finals," said May. "After playing next to [Wranglers Head Coach Mike] Madill for a couple seasons, I have all the confidence that he will be a great coach, and I'm looking forward to coming back and doing my part to make this a championship team."

In 2012-13, May tallied four goals and four assists overseas with Angers in France, and picked up an additional four goals and five assists in 16 playoff games. May also spent two full seasons with the AHL's Rampage from 2009-11, earning three goals and 12 assists.

"Jeff is another big piece to our puzzle here in Las Vegas," said Madill. "No matter how a game is going, he is always giving one hundred percent and will do anything he can to help contribute. Jeff can play and do very well in any situation, and he will be a valuable weapon on the power play and penalty kill."

The Wranglers open their eleventh season of hockey in Las Vegas on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 7:05 p.m. against the Utah Grizzlies.

Season tickets for the Wranglers' 11th season are on sale now. The Wranglers offer flexible payment options on all plans, and 2013-14 packages start at just $200. Full season tickets can be reserved for as low as 25 percent down, and include benefits such as buddy passes, exclusive team events, and merchandise discounts.
