Dakota Wizards News Release
Bismarck, ID (Feb. 10, 2003) - The Dakota Wizards have picked up center Oliver Miller from the Gary Steelheads for a Second and Third Round pick in the 2003 CBA College Draft and cash.
In 31 games with Gary, Miller posted averages of 16.3 points, 13.1 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game (the rebounding and block numbers lead the CBA).
The 6'10", 325-pounder out of Arkansas is in his first full CBA season (second overall) and was a 2003 CBA All-Star.
Miller, who just finished serving a league-imposed four-game suspension, is expected to be added to the Wizards' active roster for their weekend matchup against the second place Yakima Sun Kings.
Wizards coach Dave Joerger stated, " We are very pleased to acquire a player of Oliver Miller's caliber as we enter the stretch drive towards the 2003 CBA Playoffs."
