Oklahoma City Blazers News Release
Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Blazers of the Central Hockey League signed forwards Dallas Flaman and Graham Dearle to contracts, head coach Doug Sauter announced today.
Dearle, a 5-11, 185-pounder from Moosomin, Sask., is entering his fourth season as a pro, his third in Oklahoma City. The 06-07 season saw Dearle post career highs in games played (63), assists (20), points (27) and penalty minutes (233). In 122 games as a Blazer, he has recorded 41 points (7-32-41) and served 443 penalty minutes.
Like his friend Dearle, Flaman is also a 5-11, 185-pounder from Moosomin, Sask. Last season with Oklahoma City, the fourth-year pro recorded 31 points (18-13-31) and served 46 penalty minutes in 58 games. The previous three seasons in the pro ranks, Flaman has scored 95 points (42-53-95) and served 124 penalty minutes.
"Both of these players know their role on our hockey club," said Sauter. "Dearle has improved each season he has played in Oklahoma City. He is a tenacious player who will hit, skate hard and play as physical a game as he needs to. Flaman was one of our best faceoff men last season and was excellent on the penalty kill. These two guys are buddies from the same hometown in Saskatchewan. I think I will continue to play them together in all situations this season."
The addition of Dearle and Flaman bring the number of players officially signed by the Blazers for the 07-08 season to six. They join veteran forwards Marty Standish and Garrett Prosofsky and blueliners Mike Burgoyne and Kevin Wilson.
The puck drops on the Blazers 16th season of play in the Central Hockey League October 19 at the Ford Center. Full season ticket packages are available for as little at $51 per month. Benefits include access to the York Icehouse Season Ticket Holder Lounge, tickets to select Wichita and Tulsa road games and access to prime parking at a discounted rate.
