YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown SteelHounds of the Central Hockey League announced today that they will host an inter-league exhibition game against the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL on Friday, October 12th at the Chevrolet Centre. Game time is slated for 7:05pm.

This will be the first chance to see the SteelHounds live on the ice before the 2007-2008 Central Hockey League season begins on October 19th when the Hounds visit the Oklahoma City Blazers. SteelHounds General Manager, Joe Gregory, is very pleased to host this exhibition game saying, "I'm thrilled at the opportunity to host another battle with an ECHL team this season." Gregory went on to say "This battle of Ohio teams is a perfect way to kick off another hard-hitting season of play for area hockey fans."

SteelHounds Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kaminski is very excited about seeing how his team matches up against an ECHL opponent this close to the start of the season saying, "This is an opportunity to see how our boys match-up against quality competition and to see how we are going to look with the season starting a week later."

The SteelHounds are beginning their third season of play finishing 34-20-10 last season as they qualified for the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

The Cincinnati Cyclones are coached by Chuck Weber. They are affiliated with the Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League. Last season the Cyclones finished 37-29-6 qualifying for the ECHL Playoffs.

This exhibition game will be open to the public with all tickets on sale for $5. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 17th. Tickets are available to all Steelhounds Season Ticket Holders at no cost.
