
DC Defenders to Host First XFL Game on February 8, 2020

Washington, D.C. - The XFL announced today that the DC Defenders will host the first game of the league's 2020 season on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Audi Field with a 2:00pm ET game against the Seattle Dragons on ABC.
At 10:00 AM ET on October 24, football fans can purchase Defenders season tickets and single-game tickets at XFL.com/tickets. Lower level season tickets start at $20 per game, meaning fans can enjoy all five home games for $100, while lower level single-game tickets start at just $25 per ticket per game. For fans who would like to enhance their gameday experience with Club Level access, packages start at $450 for the five-game home season.

"This will be more than a game. This will be an event. One that reflects the excitement we have for this league, the passion we have for our community, and the love we have for this sport. Our entire organization is working hard to prepare for this momentous occasion, and we're looking forward to putting a team on the field that will play an exciting brand of football, while representing the culture and values of our city."
Quarterback Cardale Jones and the DC Defenders will open the season with two consecutive home games in downtown DC, following up the XFL season opener with another game at Audi Field on Saturday, February 15 against the New York Guardians at 2:00pm ET on ABC.
The DC Defenders then hit the road for consecutive games, with Head Coach and General Manager Pep Hamilton and the team first visiting the LA Wildcats on Sunday, February 23 at 6:00pm ET on FS1, before then heading down the coast to play the Tampa Bay Vipers on Sunday, March 1 at 7:00pm ET on ESPN2.
The team returns to Washington, D.C. for consecutive home games, both of which will air nationally on FS1. The first against the St. Louis BattleHawks on Sunday, March 8 at 3:00pm ET and then again on Sunday, March 15 vs. Bob Stoops, QB Landry Jones and the Dallas Renegades at 4:00pm ET.
One week later, the DC Defenders travel to take on the Houston Roughnecks on Sunday, March 22 at 6:00pm ET on FS1. The final regular-season game at Audi Field will take place on Saturday, March 28 at 2:00pm ET, when the DC Defenders will host the Tampa Bay Vipers on ABC.
The DC Defenders will wrap up the 2020 regular-season with two road games, the first of which will be at MetLife Stadium against the New York Guardians on Saturday, April 4 at 2:00pm ET on ABC, then concluding against the St. Louis BattleHawks on Sunday, April 12 at 3:00pm ET on ESPN.
Following the regular season, the top two teams in each division will square off for the right to play for the league championship on Sunday, April 26 at 3:00 PM ET on ESPN. The East Final is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 (FOX, 3:00 PM ET), and the West Final will be held Sunday, April 19 (ESPN, 3:00 PM ET). The first-place team in each division will host its respective division final.
The eight-team league is divided into two four-team divisions, East and West. The XFL East features the DC Defenders, Tampa Bay Vipers, New York Guardians, and St. Louis BattleHawks. The Dallas Renegades, Houston Roughnecks, Los Angeles Wildcats, and Seattle Dragons comprise the XFL West. Each XFL team will host five home games and will play a schedule that features a home-and-home series against division rivals and one game against each team in the other division.
