ROANOKE, Va. Dec. 11 ? Terrence Shannon brought home 18 points in his return to Roanoke after a Dazzle 6 game road stint. Shannon led the Dazzle to a 104-87 victory over Fayetteville in Saturday?s NBDL action. The Dazzle took the lead at 8:47 with a Cory Alexander lay-up and never looked back. The Dazzle (4-3) retain their perfect at home season while Fayetteville (1-9) is still searching for their next victory.

Roanoke?s big men, James Thomas and Kevin Owens found themselves in early foul trouble, Shannon and Isiah Victor stepped up with strong offensive performances. Shannon stole the night with 8 rebounds, 2 steals and a blocked shot.

As a team the Dazzle rallied with 39-for-76 (51.3%) from the field. Five Dazzle players scored in double figures. Along with Shannon, Cory Alexander poured in 11, James Thomas had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Off the bench Isiah Victor contributed 17, with Miah Davis posting an additional 10.

Head Coach Kent Davison felt his team is on the road to success. ?The thing we?re starting to do methodically are the things a good team does.? Said Davison, ?If Terrence Shannon hit?s jump shots like he did tonight, we?ll be really hard to beat!?

Fayetteville put up a fight with four players in double figures, David Young led the pack with 19, followed by Ernest Brown posting 15. Ousmane Cisse brought 13 off the bench along with Sean Finn with another 10. Although half way through the second quarter the Dazzle lead stretched to double digits and Fayetteville was unable to close the gap and end their 5 game losing streak.

Assistant Coach Jerry DeGregorio realizes the Patriots achilles heal. ?Our transition defense tonight was horrible? said DeGregorio, ?By the second quarter the game had got away.?

The Dazzle return to action Tuesday, December 16 on the road at the Columbus Civic Center against the Columbus Riverdragons at 7:00 p.m. The Patriots return home to the Crown Coliseum on Friday, December 17 to take on the Huntsville Flight, game time 7:30 p.m. For more information, log onto www.nbdl.com.
