Dayton Dutch Lions News Release
DAYTON, Ohio - The Dayton Dutch Lions FC (3-9-2, 11 points) is hosting Orlando Lions on Sunday afternoon 3pm at DOC Stadium. The Lions returned home today after a 2-0 loss last night in Rochester. In order to stay in the race for a play-off spot the Lions need to pick up a win against Orlando, a team that is playing the last year in the USL PRO and moving to the MLS in 2015. Orlando is the only team without a loss in the 2014 season, winning 11 out of its 14 games.
Head Coach Sid van Druenen commented on the upcoming game: "Playing the best team in the league at home is exciting for us. Orlando will be playing MLS next year and just announced the signing of world star player Kaka from Brazil. It's a very good opponent and it should be a great game for the guys to be part of. And who knows we can upset and get some points out of this game, especially because we have done pretty good against them in the past seasons."
After the game the Lions travel to Pittsburgh to play the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday June 28 at 7.00pm.
