"There's no question we are dealing with a lot of games right now." Rochester Rhinos coach Bob Lilley said. "We're trying to deal with and focus on each game as it comes. We do have a deep roster, and a lot of players have seen minutes this season and helped us get points. For us it is really the last busy stretch of the season, so we have to focus on getting as many points as possible right now even though the games are coming in very quick succession."
As the Rochester Rhinos climb up the USL PRO table, individual players are beginning to step forward as league leaders. JC Banks has five goals and two assists for 12 points. He is seventh in USL PRO in points, and he is sixth in the league in goals scored. Center back Kyle Hoffer has been ever present this season. He has started a league leading 15 matches, and he leads USL PRO with 1,338 minutes played. Rookie goalkeeper John McCarthy, who has largely split time with Soffner this season, is second in USL PRO with five clean sheets.
OKC Energy FC enters Sunday night's match in need of points in order to make a playoff push during the second half of their inaugural season. The Energy are 4-7-2 overall, but only 2-3-0 at home. Their two victories are notable results against New York Red Bulls Reserves and Sacramento Republic FC. OKC Energy FC is led by Kyle Greig who is 16th in USL PRO in scoring with four goals and one assist. Midfielder Christian Duke is eighth in the league with three assists. OKC Energy FC is coached by former Sporting KC's MLS Cup winning goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen, and the first year club has been buoyed by an affiliation with the Major League Soccer side.
