Brad Del Barba, 28-year professional baseball scout for the Marlins, Brewers, and Yankees, will join Tom Nichols on both broadcasts. Del Barba is also a baseball writer and former executive with the Reds in scouting and player development.

Kroger Baseball Buddies
Kroger Baseball Buddies continues on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5, giving kids a once in a lifetime experience this summer. If selected, Buddies will receive a replica Dragons jersey, hat, tickets to the game, and a bag full of Dragons goodies. Buddies will also receive the opportunity to be a part of the Dragons game experience and announced with the Dragons starting lineup! Scouts Overnighter
On Friday, June 10, the Dragons will be hosting their first Scout Overnighter. Scouts from the Miami Valley Council, Tecumseh Counsil, Dan Beard Council and Girl Scouts of Western Ohio will be camping out on the field. There will also be a movie provided for them to watch. The overnighter will begin shortly after the conclusion of Friday's Dragons game.
Vintage Baseball Game
On Saturday June 11, before the start of the Dragons game, the Dayton Clodbusters and the Cincinnati Red Stockings will play a vintage baseball game with vintage baseball rules and vintage uniforms. Mr. Redlegs will be in attendance for the contest, and the Reds Hall of Fame will be set up with a display table as well. Gates will open at 5:15 and the vintage baseball game will be played from 5:30 to 6:15.
Dragons On The Field
The Dragons finished their home series vs South Bend with a 5-1 series win against the Cubs. They are now 35-15 on the year, holding a seven and one-half game lead in first place in the Midwest League East Division. There are 16 games to play in the first half season. The last day of the first half is June 23. Great Lakes, who visits Day Air Ballpark this week, is the second place team.
Right-hander Joe Boyle won the Midwest League Pitcher of the Month for May. Boyle possesses the lowest ERA in the Midwest League (0.72) and put up a 1.09 ERA in the month of May while striking out 34 batters across 24.2 innings of work.
Elly De La Cruz will begin the homestand with a 12-game hitting streak, batting .353 with four home runs and 10 extra base hits during the streak. De La Cruz is now second in the MWL in slugging percentage (.573), tied for third in extra base hits (24), tied for fourth in home runs (10), and tied for fifth in RBI (32).
Connor Phillips leads the MWL in strikeouts with 72. Since April 28, Phillips has made six starts, posting a 1.54 ERA.
The Dragons have eleven players on MLB Pipeline's Top 30 Reds Prospects list, and eight of the Top 17. This group is headlined by 20-year-old switch-hitting infielder Elly De La Cruz. De La Cruz is the second rated prospect in the Reds organization (No. 71 in MLB) after signing as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic in 2018. Other top prospects on the Dragons roster include outfielder Rece Hinds, outfielder Austin Hendrick, catcher Mat Nelson, right-handed pitcher Connor Phillips, right-handed pitcher Bryce Bonnin, right-handed pitcher Christian Roa, infielder Jose Torres, outfielder Allan Cerda, outfielder Justice Thompson, and right-handed pitcher Joe Boyle.
