Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Bowling Green Hot Rods (affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) in the first game of a two-game set.
Last Game: Wednesday: Dayton 4, Bowling Green 2. The Dragons earned a split of the brief two-game set in Dayton. Juan Martinez had two hits including a two-run double in the fourth inning that broke a 1-1 tie to lead a 12-hit attack. Michael Siani, Mariel Bautista, and Bren Spillane also had two hits. Four Dayton pitchers combined to scatter seven hits. Ricky Salinas earned the win with five good innings, throwing 93 pitches, the most by any Dayton pitcher in 2019. Connor Bennett worked a scoreless ninth inning for his 11th save.
