Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Cedar Rapids Kernels (affiliate of the Minnesota Twins) in the last game of a six-game series.

Last Game: Saturday: Cedar Rapids 8, Dragons 5. The Kernels took the lead with a four-run fifth inning and held on the rest of the way. Dayton trailed 6-3 when Sal Stewart belted a two-run home run in the top of the seventh to make it 6-5, but the Dragons could not score again. Stewart led the Dayton offense with two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored.

Current Series (April 9-14 at Cedar Rapids): Dayton is 2-3 in the series, winning the first game and fourth games.

Player Notes

Through eight games, the Dragons big three of Hector Rodriguez, Sal Stewart, and Cam Collier is batting a combined .367 with four home runs and 21 RBI in 90 at-bats. Adding injured Jay Allen II's numbers, the four have combined to hit .363 with six home runs and 25 RBI in 102 at-bats.

Hector Rodriguez is off to a sizzling start as a hitter, batting .414 (fourth in the MWL). He leads the MWL in hits, ranks third in OPS, tied for fourth in extra base hits, and fourth in slugging percentage.

Cam Collier has hit safely in each of his first seven games. Collier ranks among the MWL leaders: 2nd in RBI (10); Tied for 2nd in hits (11); Tied for 2nd in home runs (2); 6th in batting average (.367); Tied for 7th in slugging percentage (.600).
