Victoria, British Columbia: August 1, 2013. A grand slam by Adam Daymude (UC Riverside) paced a five RBI night for the Gem's catcher as the Gems took their second straight win over the Victoria HarbourCats on Thursday night at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria, BC. Cam Newell (UC Santa Barbara) stroked two doubles as part of a four hit night for Klamath Falls who improved to 23-22 and remain five games from a playoff berth in the South Division with nine games left in the 2013 season.

Nick Sabo (Long Beach State) won his second straight game and West Coast League leading sixth win of the year in eight strong innings. Joe Navilhon (Cal State Fullerton) lost his third straight game and fell to 3-5 overall. Victoria is 4 1/2 games back from a playoff berth with a 19-25 record and fourth place in the North Division
