Tulsa Oilers News Release

TULSA, OK - The Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League announced the signing of forward David Solway on Friday. Solway made his Oilers debut Friday night in Laredo and started on a line with Gary Steffes and Michel Beausoleil. He finished his first CHL game with four shots on goal and a +1 rating as the Oilers blew out the Bucks 6-1.

Solway, a 5'10" 168 pound winger, played four years of college hockey at Bowling Green State University and finished his time as a Falcon with 31 goals and 42 assists. The 24-year old from Green Bay, Wisconsin was named Bowling Green team captain for his senior season in 2010-11 and had a rating of even or better in 26 of 37 games.

"I'm really excited about the addition of David to our team," said Oilers Head Coach Bruce Ramsay. "He comes from a great background, he's feisty and he brings some scoring to the table. He's got very good hockey sense and great character so there are a lot of attributes that make David a player to be reckoned with in this league."

The Oilers finish up a two game road trip tonight at Rio Grande Valley at 7:30pm before returning home for a Tuesday night tilt against Rapid City.

Tickets: Season tickets and single game tickets for the Oilers 20thseason in the CHL are now on sale. More information is available by calling the Oilers office at (918) 632-PUCK (7825) or by visiting www.tulsaoilers.com.
