Danville, IL - The Danville Dashers complete the two-game sweep of the Elmira Enforcers with a convincing 7-1 victory Saturday night.
Liam Little got things underway with a nice shot under the blocker of Troy Passingham which was set up by Ricky Green and Alex Pommerville. The assists were both Greens and Pommervilles first points of the year.
Ryan Marker would tally for his third goal of the season assisted by Taylor Cutting. A few minutes later Daniel Martin would split the defense and draw a penalty and penalty shot. Martin was able to beat Passingham on the blocker side to give the Dashers a 3-0 lead.
In the second period Justin Brausen would finally find the back of the net with his first of the season tapping in a well set up play by Danie Martin and Ryan Maker. The Dashers would add two more goals from Gaul and Marker (2) to take the 7-1 win.
Matt Kaludis was tough in net stopping 60 of the 61 shots faced. Matt get his first win of the season on the back of a .983 save percentage. Troy Passingham was pulled in the second period after giving up the fifth goal in relief of Derek Moser who was 3 for 4 giving a goal on his first shot.
The Dashers will be back in action next Friday night as they welcome the Mentor Icebreakers, game time is 7:05 PM from the David S. Palmer Arena.
