Dash Defeat Texas A&M 5-0 in Preseason Finale

COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS - The Houston Dash defeated Texas A&M 5-0 at Ellis Field in their final preseason game.

MF Amber Brooks found FW Rachel Daly in the 14th minute for the first goal of the game. Brooks headed away from the keeper to a wide-open Daly who finished towards the near post.

Daly continued to pressure the Texas A&M defense and in the 20th minute her run inside the box led to the second goal of the game. The rookie found FW Chioma Ubogagu unmarked and the Coppell, Texas native scored her first goal of the preseason.

In the 27th minute Daly won a corner kick after shooting towards the near post forcing a save from the Texas A&M goalkeeper Taylor Saucier. A minute later Daly scored her second goal of the game. DF Stephanie Ochs' cross found Daly inside the six-yard box. The rookie's header found the back of the net for her third goal of the preseason.

The last goal of the first half came in the 35th minute. MF Andressa found DF Poliana inside the box then headed towards the goal. Poliana's header found Brooks as she made a run into the six-yard box for her first goal of the preseason.

Ubogagu scored the final goal of the game in the 88th minute. MF Bianca Brinson found Ubogagu nine yards away from goal then shot towards the near post for her second goal of the preseason.

The Dash open the 2016 NWSL season on at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16 at BBVA Compass Stadium against the Chicago Red Stars. The first 5,000 fans in attendance on April 16 will receive a limited-edition Carli Lloyd bobblehead courtesy of the title sponsor of the match, BBVA Compass.
