Last Night... The D-Braves won the game against the Twins 5-4 in 10 innings...Chase Larsson had the game winning hit and run in the tenth when he blasted a solo shot off of Cole Johnson to left field...After the Twins scored a run in the bottom of the first, Danville scored in the second and fourth...The D-Braves lone run in the fourth came off the bat of Sam Munson for his third homerun of the season...Two runs for the Twins in the bottom of the fifth gave them a 3-2 lead and then the two teams exchanged runs in the sixth inning...Down by a run, in the top of the eighth, Chad Comer doubled to score Fernando De Los Santos who was pinch running for Kyle Kubitza...Jarrett Miller earned the win after pitching the eighth and ninth innings...Joe Lucas got his fifth save of the year after he retired the side in order in the bottom of the 10th...The D-Braves improved their record to 20-17.

Winning Ways... The D-Braves exteneded their winning streak last night to four games in a 5-4 win over the Twins...The streak is the longest such streak for Danville in 2011...Previously they had won three in a row three times but never made it to four...The streak has helped Danville get over the .500 hump they were struggling with and they now are three games above .500...The team is now just a game and a half out of the first, behind the Bluefield Blue Jays and Princeton Rays...Bluefield is on a three game win streak.

Larsson...Chase Larsson has hit four homeruns in his last six games...Last night was the second straight night that Chase connected for a homerun against the Twins...Since his two homerun game on July 23rd, Larsson's average has risen 18 points...In that span he also has knocked in 10 runs...Larsson fares much better when the D-Braves hit the road...In road games he is batting .346 with three homeruns and a .477 on-base percentage.

What Lies Ahead...After finishing the three game series with the Twins tonight, Danville this the road for another six games...First they will travel to Bristol for a three game series with the White Sox and then on to Princeton for an important three game series with them...Bristol has a 17-20 record and are seven games out of first place in the Appy League West...The Rays swept the D-Braves in Danville's first home series of the year and the Rays have just one more win than the Braves.
