
Danbury forward Jeff Daw named UHL/Sher-Wood Player of the Week

DANBURY, CT - The United Hockey League (UHL) announced on Tuesday morning that Danbury forward Jeff Daw was named the UHL/Sher-Wood Player of the Week for the December 8-12 period.
Daw completed the week with eight points (4g, 4a) and a +1 rating in four games. On Wednesday, he notched a goal early in the first period. After an assist on the power play in the third, with almost a minute remaining, he scored his second goal of the night in a 5-2 win over the River Dogs. On Friday, he scored two power play goals in the third period of the Trashers 4-3 loss to Flint. On Saturday, Daw notched an assist on the power play against Kalamazoo, and earned two assists in the second period against Motor City on Sunday.
The 32-year-old Carlisle, Ontario native has six goals, seven assists and thirteen points in twelve games played this season.
The Danbury Trashers return to the Danbury Ice Arena on Friday December 17th at 7:30 and Saturday December 18th against Elmira at 7:00pm. Fans who donate to the First Annual Danbury Trashers Food Drive on Friday will receive a Trashers Christmas Ornament (while supplies last).
Saturday's game is the Teddy Bear Toss, where fans can bring a stuffed animal to the rink to throw onto the ice after Danbury's first goal. There will also be a "Skate with the Trashers" event after the game for season ticket holders. Fans who donate five or more items to the Trashers Food Drive on Friday or Saturday will receive a ticket to join the post-game skating event. Rentals will be available at the Danbury Ice Arena.
