Damiris Dantas Injury Update

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced that forward Damiris Dantas has been cleared to return. Dantas will be available for Sunday's matchup against the Las Vegas Aces. In a corresponding move, the team has terminated the contract of guard Kenisha Bell.

Dantas has missed the last seven games with a calf injury after started in the previous 11. Before going down, the 6-3 forward's best game this season came on June 16 vs. Las Vegas when she led Minnesota with career-high totals of 22 points and six assists, becoming the sixth player in Lynx history to collect five or more three-pointers and five or more assists in the same game. The São Paulo, Brazil native ranks fourth in three-point accuracy (42.6%) and 22nd in three-pointers made (20). On the season, Dantas is averaging career-highs across the board, including 10.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 0.9 steals per game.

The Lynx return to action on Sunday as they travel to take on the Las Vegas Aces. Tip is set for 5:00 p.m. and the game can be seen on Fox Sports Go and NBA TV and can be heard on BOB FM.
