Dallas Sidekicks to Host Brownsville Barracudas at Allen Event Center

Allen, TEXAS (Nov. 14, 2014) - This Saturday the Dallas Sidekicks will take on the Brownsville Barracudas at 7:00 p.m. Dallas is looking to light up the scoreboard at the Allen Event Center to push themselves up in the Southern division standings, where the two teams are neck-in-neck.
This year marks the expansion Brownsville's first season playing in a professional league, and similarity to the Sidekicks, have seen mixed results on the pitch. Both clubs carry 1-1 records so far this season, Dallas dropping their first match to the defending MISL champion Missouri Comets on Oct. 25 and battling back-and-forth with the Wichita B-52s to pull out a 7-6 win on Nov.1.
Star midfielder Jamie Lovegrove leads the Dallas Sidekicks offense with four goals and one assist in two games . In just two seasons, the Crawley, England native has propelled himself up to #18 on the list of Sidekicks all-time career goals with 48.
Saturday night will also mark the Sidekicks debut of Freddy Moojen, who has been sidelined with a quad injury. Moojen comes to Dallas with a decade of indoor experience, including stints with the Wichita Wings and Baltimore Blast in the former MISL.
In celebration of Veteran's Day, the Sidekicks will sport special camouflage jerseys on Saturday night to honor all those who serve and have served in the armed forces. One team-signed jersey will be auctioned off during the match. Other military-themed festivities will include the live swearing-in of new soldiers into the Texas Army National Guard.
