Dallas Sidekicks News Release
(ALLEN, TEXAS) The Sidekicks have re-signed defender Mike Jones for the 2018-2019 MASL season. This will be Jones' fourth season with the Sidekicks and he is ready to take the team to a playoff run. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Jones played at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville for four years, being named to the All-Missouri Valley Conference Second Team in 2010 while playing 60 games during his college career, notching six goals and two assists. In his senior year, Jones and the Cougars were runners-up in the MVC Tournament. Selected by Sporting Kansas City as the 28th overall selection in the 2011 MLS Supplemental draft on Jan. 18, 2011.
He is excited about this season, because all the players have been drilled down to the basics by the coaching staff. Jones is excited for the defenders specifically, because he says they are killers and will be a dominating force this season in the team's championship run.
