Dallas Reassigns Coyle to Idaho

CEDAR PARK, TEXAS - The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate, announced today that defenseman Jace Coyle was reassigned by Dallas on Tuesday evening to the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. Coyle joins forwards Mathieu Tousignant and Austin Smith who were reassigned to Idaho on Tuesday morning.

Coyle, 22, saw action during the Texas Stars preseason, but had not appeared in a regular season game in 2012-13. The Cranbrook, British Columbia native played in 48 games for the Stars during the 2011-12 season, posting five points (1 goal, 4 assists) and six penalty minutes. He also played in 13 ECHL games for Idaho last season. Tousignant and Smith each played in one game for Texas this year. The Steelheads are in action Wednesday night as they host the Ontario Reign for a 8:10 p.m. CDT faceoff at CenturyLink Arena in Boise.

The Stars will return to the ice on Wednesday, October 24, as they host the Milwaukee Admirals for H-E-B Night at Cedar Park Center.
