The Burn will play their last regular season home game of the 2002 season this Saturday, September 14 as they host the New England Revolution at 7:30 p.m. at the Cotton Bowl. The Revolution are fighting for their playoff lives as they currently sit just two points out of the eighth and final playoff seed.
BURN/REVOLUTION SERIES NOTES

BURN AND KOMEN DALLAS RACE FOR CURE BENEFIT GAME SATURDAY
The Burn has teamed up with one of Dallas' premier non-profit breast cancer organizations in an effort to raise tens of thousands of dollars for the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure as well as pack the Cotton Bowl for this weekend's match. Tickets for this game will be offered for only $12 (normally $16) in the reserved seating. For every ticket purchased via this special offer, $6 will be donated back to the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure. To take advantage of this offer, tickets must be purchased in advance, no later than noon on Friday, through the Burn front office at 214-979-0303.
BURN CAN CLINCH HOME FIELD ADANTAGE IN FIRST ROUND THIS WEEK
The Burn can clinch home-field advantage for the first round of the playoffs this week with some help from DC United and the Kansas City Wizards. In order to clinch, the Burn need a United win or tie on Thursday, a Kansas City win or tie on Saturday and a Burn victory over New England on Saturday. The Burn has not had home field advantage in a playoff round since 1999, when they defeated the Chicago Fire in three games.
MARTINEZ BACK, BUT PAREJA OUT AGAIN
The good news for the Burn heading into this weekend's match is that they will have the services of Antonio Martinez, who missed Thursday's match vs. the MetroStars after receiving a red card in the previous match. The bad news is midfield maestro Oscar Pareja will serve a one-game suspension after accumulating 11 caution points in three consecutive games. Both Pareja and Martinez have proven vital to the Burn's success this year. Dallas is 10-5-6 with Pareja in the starting lineup and just 0-3-0 in games he has missed. The team is 10-5-2 when Martinez has started and 1-3-5 in games in which he did not play. Additionally, the Burn is 8-3-3 when Martinez plays 60-plus minutes and 2-4-4 when he does not.
BRING ON THE EAST
The Burn has enjoyed more success against Eastern Conference teams this year than any other team in the league. Dallas has lost only two times in ten games vs. Eastern Conference foes, posting a 7-2-1 record vs. the East for a winning percentage of .750. They have not fared as well against the West, compiling a 4-6-6 record for a winning percentage of .438.
MIKE JEFFRIES ON INSIDE SOCCER TUESDAY
Burn Head Coach Mike Jeffries will be the in-studio guest on this week's edition of "Inside Soccer." "Inside Soccer," the only soccer-specific show in the Metroplex, airs every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on FOX Sports 1190 AM.
