Tulsa Oilers News Release

Center Jim Dahl's big week for the Tulsa Oilers has earned him the honor of being named the Central Hockey League's Oakley Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday January 29th.

Dahl collected goals in all three games for the Oilers, and racked up nine points on the weekend. He started his big week with three goals (two of them shorthanded) and two assists in an 8-5 win over Memphis. Dahl added another goal and two more assists in the Oilers 6-3 win over Youngstown. He capped the week scoring one of the Oilers goals in a 3-2 loss at Amarillo on Sunday.

The big weekend stretched Dahl's goal scoring streak to seven games, the longest such streak in the CHL this season. He has 11 goals over that seven game streak. Dahl also leads all CHL rookies in scoring and in goals, as he now has 25 goals and 25 assists for 50 points.

This is the second straight week an Oiler player has been the Oakley CHL Player of the Week. Last week, Jaroslav Cesky garnered the honor for the second time this season. He had previously won the award for the week ending December 18th.

The Oilers host the Corpus Christi Rayz on Tuesday night at 7 o'clock. It's QuikTrip Tuesday with vouchers good for free $10 or $12 tickets available at area QuikTrip stores. The Oilers encourage early redemption of the vouchers at the Oilers administrative offices, or the Tulsa Convention Center box office to avoid long lines at game time. For more information contact the Oilers at (918) 632-PUCK (7825).
