Oakley CHL Player & Goaltender of the Week Announced

Tulsa All-Star rookie left winger Jim Dahl and Austin netminder Miguel Beaudry have been selected as the respective recipients of the Oakley Central Hockey League Player and Goaltender of the Week awards for Week 15 of the CHL season. Dahl scored nine points as the Oilers posted a 2-1-0 mark during the week, while Beaudry secured a pair victories for the Ice Bats, who extended their season-high winning streak to seven games.
Dahl began his week with a five point outing Friday night in an 8-5 home win over Memphis, including three goals (two while shorthanded, one on the power play) and a pair of assists. The following night he added another power play goal and assisted on two others as the Oilers doubled up visiting Youngstown 6-3. He finished his productive week with yet another power play goal Sunday in a 3-2 loss in Amarillo, giving him a team leading 25 goals on the season to match his 25 assists.
Acquired from Memphis on December 16th, Beaudry improved to 6-3-1 for the Ice Bats with victories over Corpus Christi and Oklahoma City this week. He made 34 saves in a 1-0 road win at Corpus Christi on January 27th to post his first shutout of the season, and made 28 saves and turned aside four of five shooters in the shootout as Austin edged visiting Oklahoma City 3-2 (SO) on Saturday night. Beaudry has now won five consecutive starts for Austin, and hasn't allowed more than two goals against in four straight outings.
